This weeks Meeting was held at Lodhi Gardens on 30.01.2016 (saturday) An exhilarating session was conducted this week. With a strong opening by the acting President Neelanjana who even played the role of Toastmaster of the day(TMOD). Every topic discussed by the TMOD Neelanjana was woven around the theme:Smartness. Smartness is the need of the hour and TM Neelanjana knew what value this quality holds and was able to explain its importance by giving real life examples. After the wonderful introduction the meeting moved into its first phase of prepared speeches. Speaker Evaluator Title 1. Jaiprakash Neelanjana What do you want 2. Anubhav Neelanjana Empty Bucket 3. Mayank(surprise) Anubhav How to get away from trouble TM Jaiprakash reminded us about the real desire of a human and the necessity of satisfaction. Moreover the harmful effects of failure resulting in anxiety and depression. TM Anubhav gave a thought provoking speech on the philosophical aspect of an empty bucket. Knowledge can be received only in an empty bucket is both true an relevant. In the end TM Mayank narrated his experience and revived the importance of an escape plan while facing an old enemy 'Exams'. Surprisingly the second session of the impromptu speeches too had some real highlights. For example TM Deepak connected his topic 'Whatever you are be a good one' with a relevant example of Sachin Tendulkar. Even toastmasters Chandrika and Neelanjana responded well to their respected tabletopics. The final session was the evaluation carried out by General Evaluator Mayank and his team of supplementary evaluators. TM Neelanjana critically evaluated TM Jaiprakash and TM Anubhav and conclude that they had met all their objectives. TM Anubhav evaluated the third prepared speech and indicated the recommendations as well as the commendations.
